This school is an example of what schools can do for their children. The profesionalism of the staff and their efforts to improve their students is outstanding. The parents and teachers work together to reach each student and motivate them towards their potential. The community support for the school and the students is wonderful. These are the reasons the school has obtained many awards including the blue ribbon award from the state. I am proud to say my children go to Rock Hall Elementary.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland.
