Both of my children attended this school. This is an excellent school academically, and the teachers are outstanding. The principal is very caring.

Meadow Hall is the best school in the area for special education students. My son made so much progress and is well integrated with typical kids, while receiving all services he needs. Staff is competent and dedicated and the Principal is great!

A wonderful caring place that gives children a great start

My daughter loved this school. She was never in any form of daycare or structured environment before she went to school. She adapted well and loves it. She is learning more than we ever thought she would. Made tons of new friends and the teachers are great and keep you in the loop as to what is going on. She loves it and I love it.

I live in the neighborhood and had some issues when my child started kindergarten at Meadow Hall but this was due to other parents who did not teach their children respect. The teachers sorted this out and provided feed-back when I met with them during the year. They made changes throughout the years to improve the bad performers and cleanup the bad element. The school has a good soccer and baseball program but should do more to promote the inexpensive Rockville activities. As a Parent I and all parents need to stay involved with the schools.

My daughter started kindergarten last year and is in 1st grade this year. She loves all of her teachers and the staff. The school has a more diverse population than some other schools in the county. The school does well with parent and community involvement. Reading and math classes are kept small to allow more attention to the students and to place them at an appropriate level in the subject. She has lots of friends and they are all nice. The teachers and staff have been friendly and out going when ever I have been there. I like the school. Jeff

Very dedicated to special needs and populations that traditionally do not have strong parent support. Getting better at meeting the needs of students that should be accelerated. Great Principal and Staff, very responsive to parent concerns.

I thought the school was horrible. My daughter attended 2004-2005 school year in kindergarden. The principle and teachers ignored problems and didn't care for the kids well being. I was very happy to move. They say Montgomery county schools are good, don't count this one in the mix. Yes the playgrounds are nice but that doesn't help learning and saftey of the kids. If you can go somewhere else you should.

Devoted and friendly teachers. Large and numerous playgrounds too.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
