St. Francis De Sales Catholic School

St. Francis de Sales is an excellent school. The teachers are wonderful and extremely devoted to the students and the school. They often give of their time freely to help students or for extracurricular activities. The curriculum is challenging. The school community is very close and parent involvement is strong. The students leave with a strong Catholic identity and skills to help them succeed in all future activities.

This school has a safe, friendly learning environment - they have a wonderful academic program and offer art, music, computer, language and even drama for the older children and a Christmas program for the younger ones. There is a wonderful school lunch program and of course they do all of this in an environment centered around God. It is like one big family. This school could however use money to finish the classrooms in the new Parish Center attached to the school - they currently have 3 portable classrooms in the parking lot that we will be able to get rid of when there is enough money to finish 3 classrooms and a new Science Lab.

Wonderful teachers. Low teacher turnover. Teachers all know the students by name. Rigorous academic curriculum. New adjoining facility to be finished this summer providing new gymnasium and classrooms. Would like to see a decrease in the high principal turnover and more involvement by parish pastor and priests. Overall, thanks to the stable teacher group, a wonderful school.

The quality of academic programs is high. Music, arts and sports are available for all students. The level of parent involvement is extremely high. We couldn't be happier that we chose St. Francis for our daughter's education.
