I attended this school for the 05-06 school year, and I believe that it is a great school. The teachers teach in a manner where the student can learn. I also believe that it is up to the students to take pride in their work. There are all music, art, sports and extracurricular activities, such as band, chorus, basketball, they also put on a opera every year this is a limited list. The academic programs are excellent and teachers offer after school help for students who are falling behind. There is no excuse for failure.

This school is barely keeping afloat. Teachers are inexperienced and seem to lack the training needed to work with children going through adolescence. Instead of working with the children they resort to a 'No Tolerence' policy to remove children from the learning environment. For example if a child acts out in class they are removed and placed into a room with a security guard with a high school education. No learning takes place, and the child falls behind. The school places all it's resources into ESOL, and the few honors classes offered, the remainder of the children are left to fend for themselves. Administrators at the school use 'Red Tape' to confuse and derail concerned parents trying to get something accomplished. This school is a tragedy setting up children for failure in High School. If you live in this area move or send your kids to private school.
