The Torah School of Greater Washington has been a wonderful place for my son. The kind, very involved, and caring attitude of the principal (Rabbi Charner), who knows each individual student, is reflected in every teacher my child has had, both Judaic and secular. My son has accomplished a lot and has been challenged by the curriculum as well (no small feat when dealing with a smart kid). I see that the school also places a great emphasis on fostering a love for learning, a love for Judaism, and on helping the students develop into caring people. There is a high level of parent involvement in the school as well, and class sizes are generally not large, which allows each student plenty of attention. We feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to send children to the Torah School.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
