Glenallan Elementary School

GREAT SCHOOL AND GREAT STAFF! I have had the chance to volunteer at a number of Glenallan functions and am amazed by the wonderful administrators and teachers. The new principal is doing a great job. The whole staff is very devoted to the kids at Glenallan.

GREAT school!! The staff is wonderful and really involved and engaged. The new principal is doing a spectacular job and it's easy to tell he really cares about the schoool, staff, students and community.

My daughter attends Glenallan and is in the third grade. I must say, the staff is nice but no nonsense, the teachers are very competent and overall, the school environment is welcoming and wonderful. We just got a new principal this year and he seems qualified and is doing a great job so far. The school has an excellent curriculum and a plethora of school activities as well as extra-curricular activities for the students. Anytime I had a complaint or concern is was handled in a professional matter and all issues were resolved. I love this school.

Great School!!! My child enrolled at Glenallan after having a terrible experience in private school. The teachers are caring, thorough, and really enjoy what they do. They worked very hard with my child and got her up to grade level in reading and math with in 4 months!!! Save your coins and give Glenallan Elementary a try. I'm sure you will be as pleased as I am. Also, they now have a new principal and I can't wait to hear about the new and exciting ideas he has to offer the school.

Both of my children attend Glenallan ES and they love it. The teachers are doing a great job with the kids in terms of teaching them and preparing them for the future. Overall Glenallan ES teachers and staffs are doing an outstanding job.

All 12 of my children have attended Glenallan ES and my youngest is now in fifth grade. Not only have my children recieved a grade A education, but they always felt loved and cared for at Glenallan. The success of the school is strictly due to the classroom teachers, especially the fifth grade teachers who are not only outstanding teachers, but go well above and beyond for each one of their students. Thank God for Glenallan.

Four of my children attended Glenallan, the most recent graduating last year. The first two are attending college on full scholarships, thanks n large part to the educational fundamentals they learned under the care and guidance of Principal Ronnie Fields and her dedicated staff at Glenallan Elementary. Glenallan is the best elementary school in the world. You may not realize this when looking at it, or any of the other typical measures of school quality. But it is.

We have been very, very pleased with our son's experience at Glenallan (he is in Kindergarten). His teacher is excellent, warm and caring. He is challenged appropriately. The exercises and tasks that his class does exceed those we have heard about from parents at other MCPS elemenatary schools with 'better' reputations. While we are fortunate enough to be able to send our children to private school, we chose not to and are not only comfortable but pleased with our decision. Our plan is to send our second child to Glenallan as well when he enters K in 3 years. I think that says it all.

I had my child transferred to Glenallan when he was in kindergarten. He is now in middle school in the GT program. We credit each and every one of his teachers from Glenallan for getting him to where he is today! Great school, great teachers, great staff and great principal!!!
