My son has attended this school for 2years and in the beginning I was excited because his teacher seemed to very attentive and even passionate about her work, unlike the daycare providers in a previous school attended. At NHE I didn't mind having an english translator come in for the parent meetings because I understood that more than half of the neighborhood was hispanic. What I did have a problem with was one of the extra curricular activites instructor. On several occasions my son has told me that in music class, the instructor doesn't care about what he has to say,or what his family does. I understand the music teacher is not there to chit-chat with the students but I believe he has become too comfortable with kids and doesn't behave professionally. Other than that the school is OK with me.

An excellent school where every child is met at his/her own level. Nurturing, extraordinary staff and leadership allow the children to thrive and learn.

Outstanding school. The staff are caring, knowledgeable of the community and backgrounds of all their families. Wonderful art, music and physical education programs, excellent character education program, teachers give nearly every second of their time to work individually with their students.

This school's successes continue to grow every year. From truly caring class room teachers, first class aides, outstanding art, music and physical education programs, and a dedicated administration, every child enrolled at NHE knows they are respected, intelligent, and special. Test scores have met or exceeded county norms for the last two years! I think all children should have a staff as dedicated as the ones at NHE.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.
