I have not had the most positive experience at KIES. If you have a child that is exceptional they have no programs and the teachers have the attitude that they don't have the time or the resources to deal with children who are above average. I will have to think about private school next year because of the lack of academics at this school.

My daughter just began her first year of Pre-K at KIES. The teachers and staff are wonderful- they made the transition from 'Mommy' to school much easier than I anticipated. It's a tightly knit school- with caring staff from the principal to the wonderful guidance counseler, down to the bus drivers. My daughter loves school- she's sad when they have a day off. After considering private schools as well, I am delighted in what KIES has to offer- and all in a small town with great communities.

Both my sons are students at Kent Island Elementary School and it has been nothing but a positive experience for the my family. The entire staff from the principal to the nurse to the teachers and even the secretaries are so helpful in communicating with parents and with the children. The student-teacher ratio is incredible. And they periodically offer different after school activities to encourage physical health. Even the music and art programs are remarkable. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kent Island Elementary. We feel very lucky to be part of this community.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.
