Moved my kids to Carrolltowne from private school and we are so happy. Great accountability, discipline and great teachers!

We moved here from a rather exceptional charter school in a different state and this has been tremendously disappointing. Behavioral and academic expectations are low. The staff are nice enough but this is definitely a school that "teaches to the test." I was told by my daughter's 2nd grade teacher that there isn't time for science or social studies because "they aren't tested on those." Communication between teachers and parents is barely existent. Several times since moving here I have considered homeschooling. When you've had excellent, average is just, well, average.

My daughter entered 1st grade last year after attending a Private Kindergarten. We are very happy with her education at Carrolltowne, she is challenged, and adores her teachers. I should also add- the older comments about the office staff are not true of the staff today. I have been in contact with them quite a bit and find them very responsive, kind, and easy to deal with.

I have currently 2 children enrolled and soon 3. The teachers and curriculum are great and we are very happy with the attention that is given to the children.

I have to agree with earlier comments about the office staff. I have had 3 children go through this school at various times. While I LOVE the teachers, and everything else about the school- I have often found the office staff to be rude. They do not acknowledge you when you come into the office, and when you need something you feel like you are bothering them. I even made the suggestion once thet they need a 'greeter'. Someone to greet visitors/parents and help direct them through the proper channels. I would give 5 plus stars to every other category, but unfortunately one star to the office staff.

I can't say enough about Carrolltowne Elementary. My daughter was enrolled in the special education program this past school year. The staff worked with her very closely giving her special attention where she needed it and provided general support in other areas. The teachers were great in keeping me informed of her progress and making adjustments to help her improve. I look forward to the new school year.

Not a very good school based on it's constant failure with special education programs and failure to step up to the aid plans given to students with learning disabilities.

I can only say good things about Carrolltowne. The administration and teachers are all so caring and really seem to enjoy the job that they do. They have always been there for support whenever needed for whatever the issue may be. Parent volunteers are always welcomed with open arms at any of the various activities that are going on in the school. During the school year there are plenty of different activities for the student to take part in. Again, I can not say anything negative about the school. Way to go Carrolltowne. I'm proud to say my son goes to this school.

I have had alot of contact with office staff in this school. I must say that the previous person must have not gotten a problem dealt with. I work with all schools in Carroll county and this is the Friendliest office staff in the county. They take time out of thier busy schedual to say a friendly word to me every time I enter their office even on hectic days. I realy do not know why anyone would write such a bad review.

I have sort of mixed feelings about this school. The office staff has terrible interpersonal skills and is often outright offensive. Though I have found the teachers to always be very dedicated to teaching and generally speaking, very good at it. The office staff are a parent's primary contact to any given school administration. Courtesy, political correctness and a professional demeanor are a must.

The office staff are not very parent friendly. They need some more friendly faces when answering the phones. I did not feel very welcome when coming into the office. The teachers were very good and my child seemed to enjoy his experience at this school.
