If they have a negative star then I would have selected that. This i the worst school you can send your child to. Mr. Wright the principal is really ghetto if you understand that. He uses slang when he talks to the parents and kids. He is the worst principal ever. He does care. That from his own words. Teachers tell you they have controls and he staed not his problem! What kind of person is that. I guess that's just a pay check for him.

im a former student at Kettering this was the worst school i have ever had to deal with in my middle school career i mean it was so bad there was fights like almost everyday the teachers are not mature they just as worst as the students they dont care about students and they make jokes about the kids also you would have to know self defense to walk the hallways to use the bathroom and we end up moving to Anne Arundel county for better education parents if you love your kids dont send them here my comment might not mean nothing but trust me

Not sure how I stumbled across this but reading some of the reviews was pretty funny. I went to this school back in 2001 and I have no idea how much it's changed in 10 years. When I was attending I had some good and some bad teachers. Overall classes were pretty easy especially if you had a teacher who just didn't care. I remember one day in class we just ended up watching the movie Friday. Good times, good times. Seemed like a lot of the teachers didn't really care although I did have some good teachers who actually wanted us to learn. I think one of the biggest problems was the student body. Too many undisciplined and disrespectful children. You could expect 3 or 4 fights if not more a week at that school. There's a laundry list of negative things....at least while I was attending there was more bad than good. Like I said, no idea how much it's changed but hopefully things have turned around since then. If not...well that's just PG County public schools for ya.

We are very impress with the teachers and staff at Kettering. This is our daughter's firest year, and we were a little hesitant about the school because of the negative review we found online, I must say, we are very please with the schol, and would recommend Kettering to any parent/parents

My daughter completed her 6th gr at kettering and is starting 7th there. It was Challenging but with the help of caring teachers and couselors that she could confide in she made it through. I believe that Mr. Wright is a very good principal. He has teachers that care but they need assistance and support from the parents. Some of the teachers are a bit too friendly with these kids, they really need to set a tone for their classrooms. They need to let the kids know what they will tolerate as good behavior in thier class. These kids and parents sign a conduct agreements in the beginning of the school year. They need to hold these kids and parents accountable during the school year. Mr. Wright keep pushing your faculity and staff to be the best the can be and settle for nothing less. You have the community's support

Kettering MS was an overall great experience for me and my child. It was easy to get her involved in clubs, most of her teachers were incredible. She had 1 or 2 who were too friendly with students, who act as though they may have just recently graduated from middle schools themselves. But I believe that Principal Wright is headed in the right direction.

I do applaud the new principal, Mr. Wright. He is a lot better than the previous principal. He has a tought job ahead of him. I think he is really trying to turn the school around. We just need more parental involvement. The PTSA is doing a great job.

I would like to say how very disappointing this school is. The lack of leadership and direction is truly appalling. The teachers are more like the students. Instead of being the teacher they are the kids friend. They talk a good game. problem...The front office is a joke. They only care about how they look and smell. Very passive. The school is a joke!
