This school is great! My son has attended Wade since pre-k, he is now in 2nd grade and is reading at a 3rd grade level! Wade teaches the children much differently than any other school in the county which promotes kids to excell in academics in the long run, which is why some parents that transfer their kids find it difficult for their kids to transittion. It is a much different teaching/learing method. I run a daycare and every child that has attended Wade is above grade level reading and math.

I recently moved to Prince William County, and the one thing that both my 9 year old and I miss about Charles County is Wade Elementary. Teachers, office staff and administration were awesome in helping my son be successful at Wade. Thank you Ms. Bliss, Mrs. Brooks, Mrs. Coffey and many others who were instrumental in making sure that my son was on track at all times.

Wade Elementary has been a blessing to me and my children. I relocated here from PG County area in 1999. The last of my three children will be Graduating this June (2011), and Wade has prepared them all for their future educational needs. Since leaving Wade my Son has been an Honor Roll student all three years at Davis Middle School and excels in every task presented to him. Each Morning Mrs. D (Principle) voice comes over the school s sound system as every student recites the Pledge of Allegiance then the Pledge of Respect (I am a smart and valuable person I respect myself and I respect others. My words and my actions are Kind. I am proud to be Me); and I am a Proud Parent to have three children attend this Great School. Keep up the Great Work!!!!!

This is a best school. The teachers are excellent and really care about the students. The academic program is excellent and really challenges. The school offers accelerated math classes for gifted students where students do work a grade level above. I highly recommend this school for every one.

This school is academically superior than others in the community. However, we are military and this school was a difficult transition for the kids. There wasn't enough help to get the children caught up with their peers. The student teacher ratio is high- 28:1 for both my 1st and 2nd grader. There isn't bus service. There seemed to be a problem with violence, theft, and bullying. This was especially a problem on the walk home. When talking to parents that have been here for several years the general consensus is that it is not the school or community this used to be.

Coming from a military family point of view, this school lacks in understanding and ability to help new students adjust. We also encountered unfriendly office staff which prompted us to change schools.

My 3 children go to Wade and I have only good things to say about the teachers. They take teaching seriously and care for their students. I have never seen a more involved or caring principal. She is top notch. One of my sons was being bullied and made fun of and the school counselor took care of it immediately and followed up to make sure there was no other problem. Excellent.
