This school, while offering a fine education, seems to cater more to the needs of its most brilliant students or students with special needs on IEP's while everyone else is pretty much ignored. My son, a highly capable student who receives above average to superior grades is getting lost in the shuffle and not being stimulated.

My daughter went there last year. The school seperated her from all her elementary school friends and grouped her with the other children of our 'ethnicity. While Acton Elementary schools discourage and infact teach against such stereo typing, the Junior high uses outdated biases to divide the classrooms.

This is an interesting school to go to because it combines kids who have never met each other from the six elementary schools in this community. All those school emphasize very different parts of the curriculum, they are not assigned regionally so it's cool to meet other kids that live in Acton that have a completely different backround than you. Nice building, awesome teachers, but extracurriculars are too lax compared to other schools. Can's wait for ABRHS.
