Arlington Catholic High School

The most important fundamental of a school is the education. Arlington Catholic surpassed our expectations. The teachers and guidance office stupendous. The teachers inspire and motivate their students to excel and accept the challenge. The guidance counselor and especially the director of guidance are a wealth of information. They are extremely involved in the student s academic advances, and become an advocate when it comes to the college process. The downside is the administration. The principal is standoffish and hides in his office if he sees a parent in the hallway. They make a big deal about rules and hardly ever follow through with discipline. The Athletic Director is deplorable. He is the hockey coach too. He is cold, heartless and rude. If you are a spectator watching a hockey game you can hear his foul language and outrageous treatment to his players. You need to hold yourself to your seat so has not to go over and call him out on his bullish behavior. Ironically, he was recently presented with a high moral award which is absurd. All in all our children succeed quite well in college, academically and socially despite the shortcomings of the school.

I am a former student of Arlington Catholic. Although I had to work hard to keep up my grades, AC prepared me for college. The teachers are there for you, and they really do want you to succeed. Because of AC, I get to go to my dream college, and have been very successful!

AC has prepared my son for college. He has learned to take notes, study and be prepared. All the students and teachers are motivated to be their best. He did great on the SATs. The gradebooks online report keeps my son and us up-to-date on homework assignments, projects and grades. The guidance department is outstanding. AC is a college preparatory school and my son is well prepared!

AC has exceeded my expectations. My son is ready for college. At AC he was taught to take notes, how to study for finals and be prepared for class. The Guidance office is outstanding!

I am not a parent but I am a student at Arlington Catholic. To be honest I have no idea what my life would be like if it were not for this school. My life was screwed up when I first arrived last year. I had many personal problems and my grades were, well, let's just say they were less than satisfactory. In my old school I just called Lazy and even stupid. But at AC the cared enough to give me a chance to change things. After much help I was finally diagnoised with ADD. It may not seem like that big of a deal but that attention that they paid me turned my life around. I feel so much better about myself and I finally feel for the first time cared about. And best of all I finally believe that I can achieve_my_dreams. Thanks_ACHS!

The warm and welcoming atmosphere of AC, along with the all the caring and supportive members of the AC community make Arlington Catholic an educational experience unlike any other. A small school with roughly 200 students per grade level, AC provides each student with a sense of community. With indefinite support from their peers, students feel immediatly at ease when they walk in the door - as they are welcomed with open arms into a school where they are encouraged to be themselves. As AC is namely a college prep school, students share common goals of success and academic achievments. Students are able to meet these challenges due to the support and encouragment they recieve from fellow classmates, along with the help and guidance of highly qualified and dedicated teachers supporting them every step of the way. AC has been the best experience of my life.

This school is one of the best. My daughter was a graduate in 1999. The staff, the teachers everyone associated with this school was educated, caring and giving. No matter what you were involved in whether it be sports or the arts some teacher was there showing the way. If you had a problem so did they. You were helped decide the best way to resolve any issue. There was lots of fun things to off-set the hard work that was expected as well. As a parent I couldn't recommend this school more.
