Whole school system is in need of overhaul. Plans to improve schools have not been met. School is not competetive with peer group. I pulled kids from system. Nuff said!
I am proud to be a parent of a Beelingham High School that has good facilities with well qualified teachers though students per teacher is little high right now. Town is still spending more money on scholls than neighboring towns.
I've been very happy with the school and its facilities. My children like the teachers and are being challenged. All schools have areas that require improvement, so this school system is no different than in other town; at least they are addressing issues and making changes.
BHS consistently ranks in bottom 3rd in MCAS results despite increases in tax base and revenues. The town's plan to improve the educational system has fallen well short of plan. Overall the school system is a complete disappointment.
Nice School, Focus to much on athletics, need more programs for kids who are not into athletics, and make the programs worth while.
