Challenging curriculum and standards set very high. That which stands out the most, however, is the love that students have for one another, and the love with which they are surrounded, by teachers, administrators and staff. Extremely diverse, tons of opportunities for students to demonstrate their talents in a safe and supportive environment, superior after school programming. The principal knows her students by name. Awesome school, a real treasure.

Cambridgeport continues to be a school that is community driven - teachers and administration are very available and there are multiple opportunities for parents to get involved in everything from teacher hires to PTO. The school has recently decided to move from mixed grade classes to a two year looping model at the suggestion of the staff who felt they could teach one grade more effectively given state and district standards but wanted to maintain the multiple year connection with their students. That's not to say issues sometimes arise, but I have found them to be dealt with in an appropriate manner and with parental input.

Used to be a good school. The present administration is not good and the school has lost its communal feel, which has an effect on the teachers as well. Parents want to be involved but are not heard.

This is a great school with wonderful teachers and a great curriculum. It is a learning community that really works and where children love to be and love to strive for their own best - not in competition against each other, but together. The social climate is extraordinarily warm and welcoming and people, first of all the students among each other, treat each other with great respect, dignity, and genuine friendliness. It is a joy to be there and see this community working.

The teachers we have had have been very good. The field trips have always been excellent as well as the MIT sponsored activities. Music and Art is well integrated into the curriculum.
