As a Boston College student and an active volunteer at the Campus School, I can honestly say this is the best community environment I have ever been in. The people are warm, kind, welcoming and caring. It is impossible to walk around the Campus School without a smile on your face.

It's hard to find a school that can serve the severe special needs population like the BC Campus School does. At the Campus School, Devon is with his peers, and the teachers are fantastic.

The Campus School is a magical place! My son (and our family) were welcomed into the Campus School community with open arms. Since starting at the Campus School two years ago, my son has thrived and progressed in a way we never imagined possible. The staff are unfailingly positive, enthusiastic, creative and committed to helping every child reach their greatest potential. The teachers, therapists, staff, nurses and volunteers are experienced and professional as well as being incredibly caring and supportive. Our son's life is fuller, more fun and more full of possibilities since he started at the Campus School. Go visit and you'll see what we mean. We can't say enough great things about the Campus School.

BC Campus is a great school with the fine quality staff and volunteers. My child has significant progress since joining September 2012. The classroom teacher is so personal and takes time to understand the child's need to enhance the growth to reach the ability. The effective communication is the strength of the program in which every staff involved in the child knows what is going on to match the child's need. This is the key success of the program as well as an enormous enhancement to the child. The philosophy of BC Campus school is the staff working there is really willing to work 100% with the children, not only just to get their pay checks. This give the parents a peace of mind. Though my child cannot verbally tell me her experience with BC Campus school, her face of content and happiness after school told me the true story of her school day. It would be helpful if there is periodic simple note of the child's progress or home visit to communicate with parents. All parents would like to hear from their children's teachers time to time. A note or phone call would help to make the communication goes for the benefits of the children.

My son has been a student at the Campus School for 3 years and it has changed his life. Our whole family loves the school and we are amazed at his progress. The administration, teachers, therapists, nurses, and all of the staff are so supportive and eager to assist our son in being the best that he can be.

The Campus School is like a big family for students, families, teachers, support staff and the entire B.C. community.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
