I have had 3 children go through Rashi. The Staff and the education was excellent. The staff gets to know each child as an individual and helps them be independent, strong thinkers and learners. They foster curiosity. My kids are able to advocate for themselves and learned to see teachers as partners , not the enemy. They love learning because of the school.
If you have a child who is academically gifted as determined by the appropriate testing, Rashi will not provide the truly enriching curriculum needed in order for such learners to thrive and grow. Be mindful of the use of differentation, because even this type of accommodation has significant limitations for gifted learners.
I have 2 children at this school. We have been 100% satisfied. The academics are strong, the kids have fun and good values are woven throughout the curriculum. One of my children is academically advanced and receives challenging coursework. There is truly a differentiated instructional model. The faculty and staff are readily available to discuss any issues. I highly recommend this school.
Quality of instruction is inconsistent and it really depends on who you get. Teachers come and go every year. Administration seems more focused on getting tuition than making sure the kids get a good education. Definitely not worth the tuition.
This is an excellent school. The principal (Matt King) provides strong leadership and the teachers are great. The education and curriculum are superior, and keep students interested, engaged, and challenged. The emphasis on moral and social values is a strength, but we came here mainly because of good teaching and overall academic excellence, and we have been very satisfied.
This is a really superior school, one of the most caring environments you could hope for combined with academic excellence. There is a search going for a new Head, who will replace a good but not great one. The faculty works well together, the children get individualized attention, and the parent body is both highly supportive of education and deeply involved.
Rashi used to be a very good school, with good leadership, and strong teachers. Recently, I see it as slipping. The school has to in some ways start from the begining, and they need a solid plan.
