I went into Connolly as a sophomore (moved from MD to MA), and I was really impressed with the school. Environment: Connolly has a great student population. You really get to know basically everyone. There really aren't any trash students (I know this sounds demeaning, but I didn't know what else to say). The school is very old. I'd have to say it is outdated: the windows, floors, tables, desks, and walls are very old. This can be a negative for some, but it really doesn't bother me. Teachers: This is a tricky subject. There are some great teachers, and there are some not great teachers. Being such a small school, there aren't too many teachers per department. I didn't like how teachers were teaching subjects in which they had no education in (a math teacher majored in history, but is teaching math). However, there is no lack in education. One history teacher has three master's degrees, and one went to Columbia University and NYU. Administration: Overall good; never fails to discipline. Overall: I am impressed with Connolly, and I recommend it to anyone who wants their child to get a better education and smaller environment.
I believe Bishop Connolly is far above average for this area, but in order to be excellent, they still must improve. I do believe they are in the process of improvement with their new administration. I do not regreat my choice
I have two boys in this school One is a junior and one is a senior. My children have had a very positive and wonderful experience there. This school provides a environment that supports the students in their studies, sports and social activties. There is a strong parent involvemnt
