My daughters both go to Falmouth Academy and I could not be happier with the school. The school stresses rigor and personal responsibility. The class sizes are small (8-15 with an average of 12). Students usually sit in circle and are taught in an interactive manner. Teachers are very well educated and experienced and obviously love being there as they are enthusiastic and upbeat. Students are not only allowed to call teachers at home with any homework issues but encouraged to do so. The school also has a good deal of extracurricular activities despite it's small size- sport, drama, photography club, etc. Price is an issue but 80% of students receive financial aid and I think the average award is about 50% of tuition which makes it more economically diverse than many other prep schools. My girls absolutely love going to school and are excited and energized by learning. What more could you want from a school?
