I enrolled my daughter, because we are Catholic and we are not happy with our area school. SHS was very welcoming. The class sizes are great. The teachers are the best part! Now what I didn't like. If you want to get out of paying a $500 fee, as a parent, you have to volunteer doing Bingo, the Fall Festival, and various other activities. I couldn't do it, I had to work. There are a lot of expences for trips, fund raisers, needed supplies, costumes that you have to purchase. Also, the hot lunch choises, I was very unhappy with. towards the end of the year S HS switched to Papa Gino's with some days of only meat selections. My child hates meats and loved salad. So, I wasn't happy with this. Very unhealthy, for a private school trying to promote healthy eating habits. They always wanted money from us! The uniforms are ourtagiously overpriced. You can only get them at one location, which is ridiculous. My child had peoblems with bullying at the school, and she was in one of the lower grades. The way the school is run, is not to my liking. I went to a great catholic school, and loved it. SHS is run in a much different way. The education is the only thing great about it.

Our daughter is in her third year of attending Sacred Heart. The school has an amazing mix of excellent teaching, a wonderful, loving and freindly staff, a very caring and hardworking principal and parent involvement. We can not wait until our younger son starts Kindergarten next year!! The school has become part of our lives to the extent that we consider it family. The sense of community is priceless.

We also have two children at Sacred Heart. Our only regret is that we did not relize what an excellent school it is until our older children were in high school. The safe environment allows for each child to grow as individuals in a way I did not see at other schools. Academically, Sacred Heart exceeds the local elementary school by far.

We have 2 children enrolled at Sacred Heart and can't say enough about how thrilled we are with our choice. The smaller size and high quality of educators make all the difference. You won't find a school that cares so much about your child anywhere else. Excellent music, athletic and art programs and high standards for a well-rounded education. Probably the best field trips in the region as well! 80 years of service, community & faith! : )
