I personally think GHS is one of the best schools around, we have a huge budget crisis right now, but through all of that, the students at GHS are continually committed to this school. It is our home away from home as cliche as that is.

I attended GHS from 1999 through 2003 and I wouldnt have changed anything. I was involved in the Chorus and grew alot through that experiance. I went to Boston Symphony Hall twice, Tanglewood, and Orlando,FL. My chorus won 3 gold medals and performed many concerts. I find it sad that the Chorus and band are losing what makes them so special due to the fact that an amazing teacher cannot be present for long at the school. GHS is in desperate need of a bigger budget to keep their great teachers.

I am a student at GHS. I will be graduating in 2006. My Years so far there have been nothing but extrodinary. Band and Chorus have recently gotten Gold Metals in MICCA, and have preformed at the Boston Symphony hall. Sports are a huge deal to GHS. Football, Volleyball, Soccer and Field hockey during the fall have never come up short handed. Field Hockey has brought home many state champion titles. Winter Sports such as basketball also do their share of fighting for the Green Wave. The big sport in the spring would have to be Softball/ Baseball. In each case, going to Western Mass. finals. During school hours teachers are dedicated to their students and will do what it takes to get them to meet the criteria. Extra help will always be an offer on the table, just ask.

GHS was a good schoo to attend. It lacks in multiculturalism. The extra curricular activities, be they sports, clubs or band, chorus or drama, were a strong point about the school. Collegiate pursuit and direction were unspecific and sometimes misguided. Student expectations of excellence in general seemed mediocre. This staff has completely changed in the past few years, and a more recent student would be able to better review the teachers. When I was there, they were enthusiastic, motivated and encouraging of student development, if unspecific.

This school is an ok school. it has a couple problems but nothing that cant get fixed. it has a good education system. the math department is really good and greenfield high school has one of the best chouses and bands in the state of western mass. we have the best stage in western mass. We have a lot of school spirt and have a lot of fun. Every year we have a big football game called the turkey day it is with are biggest rivals it is awsome so if you want you kid to get a good education and have fun send them to greenfield.
