This school has good and bad teachers, probably like any other school. In regards to a previous post...yes, Mrs. Bell is a gem...as are the other kindergarten teachers. Many (not all) of the lunch and recess staff is lazy, not really wanting to do their jobs. The school has an excellent administrative assistant...very helpful and efficient. For a while now, they have had a very mean type of 'helper' out in the front of the school to greet parents and children in the mornings who literally rips kids out of the vehicle, snaps at them to 'hurry up!' and frightens them. Is this really how this school wants to be represented???

I have two kids here in this school. And they both LOVE it. My daughter was nervous about going to school but they have some GREAT teachers that calmed her . Her firs teacher was Mrs. Bell and she made such a great impact on her and her learning .The staff is a caring staff.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Massachusetts used the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) to test students in grades 3 though 8 and 10 in English language arts and math and in grades 5, 8, and 10 in science. The grade 10 MCAS is a high school graduation requirement. The MCAS is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Massachusetts. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
