Groton Dunstable Middle School is as good as any other school if your child is a cookie-cutter kid and can get by with a one-size-fits-all education. But if your child has special needs, the services there are woefully lacking.
We too are very happy with the Middle School. My child's class was the first 5th grade to be in the school when this grade was moved from elementary to middle.I feel the administration worked really hard to make the transition work given the concerns of the parents. Communication has been excellent. There are lots of fun, exciting activities. The curriculum is top notch. I feel my child is challenged but offered plenty of guidance. My child has a severe food allergy and the school has taken it very seriously and created a safe environment. They are open to suggestions and new ideas too.
I have two children at the school and they are having a wonderful middleschool experience. They both have the opportunity to try new and diffrent experiences. They are able to take band, participate in sports and service groups. The curriculum is differentiated so each child is challenged and taught to reach their full potential.
This is a wonderful school. I was a student there for 6th and 7th grade. The teachers are great and they really try their best to foster a nuturing environment for kids to develop their interests and to get a quality education. The students here are kind, and have respect for their peers and teachers. I made so many friends here. It was so hard to leave. This is a very nice school with no graffiti or anything like that. Students here respect property and know that this is a place for learning. Also, many extracurricular activities are availiable to students in the middle school. They also have great integrated arts classes where you can really express yourself, like drama, and art class. I've been to a lot of schools and this is the best one by far. I would reccomend this school to anyone.
