Teachers don't have to teach to the test, so they can teach to the students, and they teach using great works, not curricula watered down by state committee. Our daughter is thriving here like nowhere else.

The school develops an understanding of nature,a set of practical skills (not computer skills, but rather physically interacting with people and things), a sense of the connection between lessons learned in grade 1 and those learned in grade 8, a respect for people and ideas, and an aesthetic sensibility even in the mundane. Interested in how to prepare children to be in the "Creative Class" or adopt Daniel Pink's "Whole New Mind"? This is the kind of education they need. Music, foreign language, agriculture, knitting, drawing, movement, etc, is integrated into the teaching of history, math, sciences, etc. And, for the most part, the faculty is amazing.

its a warm welcoming school. its small but we are all close knit and even the 12th graders have close bonds with the second graders. i love the school because there is almost no drama lots of arts music and yoga classes and any and all of my friends there can tell you the same!

It is an excellent school. Kids develop important emotional, intellectual skills, while having an intimate relation with nature. The balance between body and mind are stunning! My only problem is the lack of diversity among the student body and the curriculum topics later on. Still, I strongly recommend this school to any child.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
