Too strict?? HA!! This school is amazing! Either that parent is jealous of this schools success and does not have a child here, or they are raising an over-indulgent spoiled brat!! My daughter is SO happy at this school. Her teachers are incredible, kind, warm and loving. When she makes mistakes (and she does!) they guide her rather than punish her. Even the school counselor is fantastic, often taking time to chat with her. Heck--even the NURSE is sweet as pie!! If you're not happy here please leave and give the slot to someone who REALLY wants to be here!!
I find it interesting that someone would find the school too strict with young children. My kids are terrific but are often challenging. Their teachers are some of the warmest, most loving, and supportive teachers I have encountered. My daughter gets a BIG hug every morning from her kindergarten teacher and all of the teachers (regardless of which grade they teach) know my kids by name. It is a real and caring community. I wonder if the person who left that comment has a child at the school?
In my opinion this school is far too strict with young children. Their way of thinking seem much too rigid to me. A child needs to be comfortable and happy while they are learning, I feel as though this school does not offer that.
PVCICS is one of the most incredible schools in the entire U.S. The program is challenging and ever-changing. My daughter never gets bored. The teachers are so involved and hard-working. They are truly a gift to education. The principal is absolutely fantastic. Her dedication to the school, the programs and the students is beyond words. If you're lucky enough to get in, you too will fall in love with this school!
This is simply an amazing school. I cannot believe our fortune to have the opportunity to watch our children learn such an amazing language along with high level math, science, english arts and more. The entire staff of this school is very dedicated to their program. The students are all so happy to be here, including mine. There is a unity among the teachers and students that surpasses regular public schools. We are truly blessed. Thank you Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion!
Who gave this school 4 stars!!! This is the greatest school in the entire world!! If I could, I'd give it 10 or 100 stars! If every school across the US adopted the program that this school is teaching, the US would be unstoppable. The students at this school are happy, well-rounded & highly respectful of both themselves and their peers. Kathy, the principal, is so dedicated that she is simply 1 in a million. The teachers are incredible. What more can I say??!! 4 stars? Really?
The teachers and administration are caring and the opportunity for my child(ren) to learn Chinese and about Chinese culture is very exciting!
I love this school. Both of my children attend and we are pleased with the level of education they are receiving. The language immersion is fantastic but clearly not for every child. I find the teachers to be caring, respectful, and patient, regardless of the student's ability. This school will certainly serve as a model program for other schools in the future.
