Halifax is a great small community! I've had 2 children attend Halifax Elementary school and my youngest child is now in 6th grade and off to middle school next year. I can't say enough good things about the school, how it is run, and what it offers. The staff is made up of very attentive and caring people and they are always there to help if there are questions or concerns. I will miss seeing the many nice people I have met once my child moves on to Middle School.

Poor communication between teachers and parents! You have to keep on them constantly about everything all the time. Its stressful, frustrating, and I worry every day about my child. Even with a child on an IEP. I don't have confidance in them and you can't take anything for granted.

Cannot believe how parent/school communication has decreased. There has been a new principal and the whole atmosphere has changed and not for the better. I used to be a very strong advocate of this school, but now I question if I should look toward home school or charter school, which is what led me to this site.
