I have more than one child at FMLS and I have had to work with the teachers on occasion. They are very open and willing to help out any child. The administration is great and my children are very happy in the Freetown, Lakeville schools/community. As an educator myself, and a parent, I would not want my child attending anywhere else.
Terrible administration, rampant apathy among teachers, open contempt for students by faculty and staff. Curriculum totally geared to MCAS by unengaged teachers One of the worst schools I've ever seen.
This school is a great school. It is safe and fun. You also learn a lot. I am one of many straight A students and I love it here!
this school is great and beautiful on the outside and familylike on the inside.i was a student at FLMS for 2 years till moving to fallriver. the teachers help you and dont ever give up. most of them are friendly and never mean. this school is full of students who will take in the new students very easily!there is no violence no gangs no drug users. if i could pick any school for my children in the future it would be FLMS.
As brand-new construction, the school is beautiful. Technology is there too, I toured under construction and followed the miles of signal cables through the building... Today there is a PC and LCD projector in every classroom. How are they used? Who knows, I'd like to hear more! My 7th grader likes it and performs well there, and his teachers have been responsive via email. Teachers seem involved and comitted, seems to be adequate after-school activities. Lakeville residents have been comitted to upgrading their school system (overrides!) and it shows.
I am actually not a parent, I am a student. I attended G.R.A.M.S until it was closed down and we were sent to F.L.M.S. The atmosphere was great but I will admit that the school was a bit cramped. I think that having it become an intermediate school, and the Middle School across the street will really help the problem of overcrowding due to the number of student increase. The teachers are great and it was a very nice school. I wish one day I can go back to Massachusetts and see the inside of the school after watching from the outside all the construction going on for the past two years.
