My child has received a wonderful education at Pearl Rhodes. The staff is very qualified and caring. Enrollment has increased in the past couple of years due to school choice interest in the school, however, the class sizes are still much smaller than other schools in the area. I think they average about 17.

Pearl Rhodes School lacks qualified staff. In the past few years the enrollment has almost doubled with school choice and yet the amount of staff has not increased. Grades are doubled up (1-2, 3-4, 5-6) and this seems to offer the students one year of learning and one year of review. The curriculum is based on the MCAS tests and is not well rounded. I feel that the number of 3rd and 4th grade students with IEP s is far above average compared to other schools. The students do not receive a basic education in the lower grades so that they can advance and perform at grade level.

Pearl Rhodes Elementary School suffers from not only lack of leadership oversite, but from lack of interest by school district and staff as well. Music is 1 hour a week, art is the same with limited supplies...junk is sent in from home to be used. There are no sports and no extracurricular activities at all at this school. Low numbers do not indicate a good education. The children here should soar off the charts but do not. The low numbers are in fact due partially to parents school choicing their children to good schools within the same district. MCAS scores not available as the class numbers are too low....very convienient for the school.
