We moved to Medfield on the reputation of its public school system, and we were not disappointed! The kids, teachers, parents and administration alike were all rowing in the same direction... building the knowledge and character required for excellent college opportunities.

Look past the high MCAS scores. Great school if you have a high achiever student. Average students might do better in a school with more individual attention.

Everyone loves Medfield! Sure, we're not the most diverse of places, but we love everyone!. You can tell that all our students have been raised impeccably well. Plus, we just won the Blue Ribbon Award! Send your kids here!!

Medfield High School is consistently ranked one of the top schools in the state. Students are accepted to the most prestigious universities and continue on to the best graduate schools, due in large part to the outstanding job the faculty does in preparing students for college. The work load is heavy and expectations are high but the teachers, particularly in the higher level classes, are helpful, supportive, and amiable. The athletic department was recognized this year for having the best overall record in the 2004 seasons of all division 3 schools in the state. The students are friendly and the school is so crime free that the majority of students do not even keep locks on their lockers. Drug use is not as bad as stated in the previous review, in fact likely less than many area schools. You will not regret sending your kid here!

Everyone says MHS is a good school with good academics, and yes that is true but its because they work their students so hard to the point they get anxieties and depressed when they don't get the A. Kids are either like this or don't care and slack off. Drug abuse is also very big and there isn't much that can done about it. The new principal is working to better the stress level and drug abuse. The administration is okay. There are definantly A+ teachers but there are those who are doing teaching because they can't find anything else. MHS is definantly a good school where your child will be prepared for college, just make sure your child makes wise decisions and can handle a heavy work load. At times your classes meet college expectations.

This is a remarkable high school and school system in general. The teachers are committed and the parent involvement is outstanding. 90+% of the graduates go on to post secondary school education.
