We were redistricted and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. My children are flourishing at Columbus. They love all of their teachers. We are yet to have a bad experience there.
I am the school nurse and I see first hand how great all of the Columbus staff, parents, and students are. Not only are they focused on the academics but basic values, social skills and school spirit. It's all about the whole student and family. Of course, health plays a huge part in all of this and the nurses are wonderful too.
Columbus is more like a family & a community. The parents really pull together to make things happen for the kids at this school. The staff is phenomenal. And the Principal & Vice Principal make it a point to know each and every child. Great efforts are made by all at this school.
Great teachers and a great principal, what more could you want? Oh ya, more state and federal funding!
Columbus School is the best school in Massachusetts because we have fabulous and caring children, supportive and loving families and a very dedicated staff
We have an enthusiastic, diverse group of students who try their hardestevery day. The parents are very supportive of the school. The administration works well with faculty, students, and families to make a caring learning community for all.
Mrs Yaeger is most friendly and caring. She welcomes all the students by there names. Always at the drop off area. Feel very secure.
The Columbus has a wonderful community made up of a richly diverse student population, involved parents, and a wonderful staff.
Our son is in 1st Grade at the Columbus and he loves it. His teacher is wonderful and he it totally engaged in school life and afterschool clubs. They do a great job!
My children are entering 3rd and 1st grade at the Columbus. Since Kindergarten we have only had positive experiences. The faculty is wonderful and we couldn't ask for a better school for our children.
We are thrilled with the Columbus School. Our son's kindergarten teacher is excellent. The principal and assistant principal are very engaged. The curriculum is great and the extra curricular activities are wonderful as well. We were a little worried about the Medford Schools, but we couldn't be happier!
This is a wonderful school. We will miss Mrs. Barry who retired this past year but we welcome Mrs Yaegar and hope she can fill Mrs Barry's shoes. Clean and brand new this school has wonderful teachers and the kids are treated with respect. No complaints at all!
