My step kids go here and I am unimpressed. No homework, no projects, no papers to write, and summer reading is one book (not even a classic) any best seller. Really?! I think theirveducation has been marginal at best.
My child is an average student who just recently (2009) graduated from MHS. He has received astrong educationand will be going to BC in the fall. Teachers are very caring and for the most part provide ffor a rigourous curriculum. The administration needs to be more pro-active when it comes to discipline. Overall the student body is well behaved.
I do not recommend wasting your time and money on this institution. I have learned very little and not because of any lack of effort on my part. The better part of the faculty pick favorites and do their jobs poorly.
Even though we have, unfortunately, experienced budget cuts, many programs have remained. We still wish we had more but I have experienced that the faculty and students seem to know how to work (very well) with what they have.
I think that it is awful that Medway has limited after school activities (not including sports.) Not all of us participate in sports or cheerleading.
Coming from a parent whose child just graduated from Medway High School, I feel the institution to be excellent. Not only does my child now have a 4.0 at a prestigious national university due to the amazing preparation at Medway High, she left with positive experiences. The teaching is challenging, preparing students for college. The faculty and staff are incredibly supportive, and there are many extracurricular opportunities for the students. The sports teams, for a division 3 school, are phenomenal, constantly in state tournments. Parents are encouraged to get involved as well. Overall, this is an excellent high school.
Faculty is subpar. Administrators, abhorrent. Studenty body, ditto. Probably the lowest quality people turning out even lower quality people. A travesty.
Medway High School is a beutiful school, with good test scores. The school system has faced many budget cuts in the last 10 years. Test Scores have dropped slightly in the last four years, but they still are at aceptible levels. Medway High School placed 71st out of 302 high schools in Mass. The school lacks many programs such as Health, Computer, Journilism, bussiness and many more. This is a good school on a scale from 1 to 10 Medway High School would be a 7.5
