I believe the school offers average academics, however, the culture of the school prohibits progress upward and forward. A few of the teachers are truly exceptional and devoted to the students, but several seem to simply do the minimum job required.

Overall, I have been disappointed with the overall quality of the education my children have received. I have great hopes that the current principal will help turn things around, but that may take a few years. There is a definite problem with the school culture; a lack of professionalism, a 'clubbiness' amongst the staff. Many staff members also have children in the school, which has led to a lack of confidentiality and gossipy behavior that undermines the educational mission of the school. There is a definite lack of consistency in the quality of instruction..teachers on each grade level team don't always teach the same content; some don't reach the grade level benchmarks. There seems to be no accountability with the teaching staff, they seem to do as they please. I hope the new principal will restore parent confidence in the school, it is at an all time low.
