A couple of excellent guidance counselors and a few excellent teachers. The rest are average, at best.
We have moved to Melrose last year. Compare to the school district my daughter has attended before (Rockwood schools, MO) Melrose Middle is ~ 2 years behind. My child is pretty much repeating things she has learned in elementary school.
My son is in the special education dept and the teachers are great there. Outside of that dept the teachers are a bit crass when you need to discuss anything with them. I find the principal to be friendly and easy to engage. There are not enough books and this makes it hard on the students who need to know where old information is to study.
My daughter and son have been going to this school for 3 years now. They lvoe it completely, exept for the homework part of course. But the teachers are great, the principal is very nice and the rest of the faculties just all together really care. Melrose Middle School is a very good school!
My son has been there for two years and finds the Principal to be excellent. Teachers are good. Shortage of books and materials.
