This is an amazing school and it's really fun! The teachers and administrators are really cool And funny! It kind of sucks to be in 8th grade Because I'll have to leave the school next Year! But it's really fun school and everyone there m Makes me want to go to school everyday!
My children have had a great experience in this school. None have received special education services but all three have loved most teachers, staff, administrators, and secretaries. They are doing their best with the difficult financial strain all schools are facing.
The administration at this school is only concerned with cashing their paychecks. Student safety is of absolutely no concern to them. Bullies are protected. Negligent teachers are protected. A complete overhaul is needed from the superintendant all the way down!!
The Middleboro school district may not have the funding that it surely could use, but it's certainly not alone. Funding is not there for very many of our state's school districts. What Middleboro does have though, in my opinion, far outweighs what it might lack. Middleboro couldn't ask for a more dedicated Superintendent of Schools, and its School Committee Members, along with all levels of Administration and Staff, care enough to make the most of what they do have to work with. They all strive to provide a positive educational experience for all of the town's children, and though not always perfect, that is what they all work toward. I have children that have been in all levels of Middleboro's school system and I would recommend any and all of them to others.
my child is currently in the sped program, I would highly warn any parent that is considering any school in the middleboro school district to seek education in another town, the funding is not there, the SPED team is awful, and like another parent on here, the schools views on sped programs is very inadequate. I am looking to transfer my son out of the school system, this school is under restructering this year because of their academic performance that has been low for the last two years.
I go to this school (I am currently in the 8th grade) and I would NOT recommend this school AT ALL. It is a beautiful building, and the new principal is nice. However, this school offers nothing more than it needs to. There is nothing for students who excel (like me.) NOTHING! I don't reccomend this school because they don't have effective ways of discipline, either. Also, we do nothing to change the school for the better or help out community.
This school is in need of improvement in the special education department. There is a lack of communication between Special Ed and the School principal. When you have a specific question, like how are the services on the service delivery page of my child's IEP delivered? In what ways do you help my child if he gets discouraged and starts to give up? What do you do when he puts his head down? The answer from the Special Ed was 'are you telling me how to do my job?' I felt this was a very negative response to my questions. Somebody needs to step in for this school to have a successful special education team. They have made mistakes with testing, they have refused tutoring and ultimately my child is the one who has had to suffer.
I think this school is wonderful. They have a cluster of teachers that all work together to make sure the students get what they need. They communicate with the parents as well as the students. There is als a homework help line that tells parents what assignments are due in case the student didn't write it down. The school itself is beautiful.
