Memorial Elementary School

Memorial far exceeds expectations! We have had 1 yr for each child that I was not happy with the teacher. Each of those teachers have since left. My kids thrive and the staff will work with parents regarding any issue. While every day isn't rosy, there is honestly nothing I would change. The school recognizes that each kid is different with different needs. If you're willing to accept no one is perfect, they'll help you through whatever obstacle your child may face.

You know, I would have to say that the hype that I heard about Memorial being a great school is only partially true. The fact is that it really comes down to the teacher. Last year my kid had a great teacher, this year not so much. I feel the curriculum could be a lot stronger. They have strong parent involvement, but I don't see that translating into better teaching or curriculum development. So far I'm not that impressed.

We love Memorial. A very warm atmosphere, great, sweet very good teachers, good playground, and the principal knows every single child by name and knows exactly what she is doing. Just a perfect school.

I went to Memorial and think the school is excellent.

Great school. Lots of before and after school activties available, including sports, french and spanish classes. Very active and involved parent community.
