Having gone here, I must say I am happy to have gone to an all-boys school like this one. They are strict when need to be with a focus on overall growth (spiritually, academically, personally, athletically). I know parents/families who aren't religious may think they may be overwhelmed, as I did going into it. However, religion there is only apart of your daily routine as much as you want it to be. The courses based around religion are to educate and provide a broader understanding of what religion/philosophy/ethics are to each of us, not an attempt to convert anyone. In terms of the professors, they exemplify exactly what parents want and what students need to grow and be successful. For students of color, things can be a little different at first. However with time and the great support system in place, things will be great!

I have one son who attended St. Sebastian's This is a very special school. As a parent, I was bowled over by how respectful and impressive each was to me. During the parent meetings, the teachers have every fact and figure on your child. They really know the boys. The curriculum is rigorous and traditional, the way school was years ago when students really learned how to read, write and speak well in public. An outstanding place. However, most special is the parent community. These are the nicest, most welcoming people you will ever meet. Not your typical snooty prep school group. On top of that you have the amazing Bill Burke--probably one of the best headmasters in the country. In summary, you are lucky if your son has a chance to go to this fine school.

I couldn't agree more - St. Seb's is a special place - my son has thrived there, he has become a confident and respectful young man - people comment on his manners and friendliness and the way he looks them in the eye. All of the boys are the same way. He has made friends that I know he will have for life. Mr. Burke, the headmaster, is such a unique, wonderful man, he sets the tone and the atmosphere for the school. They truly care about these kids. The curriculum is challengind, and they are killed with homework, it is not a place for slackers. But they are all so happy. I love this place - if your son is lucky enough to get in, it is worth every penny.
