This is NOT a great school and I would never tell anyone to put their child in this school. My son was bullied daily and his property was stolen from him often. He didn't have a teacher for 3 months and did nothing the entire time he was there in that 8 hour class. I found that out when I transferred my child to a different school and they called to ask about his grades. Parker said he doesn't have a grade because he didn't have a real teacher. Sad failing schools like this get all the funding when amazing schools get tossed on the chopping block! I would have given no stars but that wasn't an option.
The principal at John A. Parker school is extremely dedicated to the students and is always available for parents. She is constantly finding new ways to stimulate students. The teachers are very focused and are always implementing new teaching methods to allow students to absorb the material no matter how slow of fast they are capable of learning. Safety and discipline are paramount. They have a zero bullying tolerance and the kids learn to respect themselves and others.
