I am currently attending at this school an I enjoy going. Some teachers try very hard to make sure that the students are learning rather than just passing through the material that other Norton school teachers do. Some teachers are lacking in a fun way to involve us in the education, but for the most part the teachers are enjoyable. some teachers I don't mind even having to stay late to see because I like what they have to say. The school used to be a nightmare when it came to extracurricular activities, but now if they don't have a class for it, there's a club. If by chance there isn't a club for it, you can make one. I've been involved in creating a new club here before so I know it's possible. I would recommend parents to send there kids here. It's fun (as far as school goes), and for the most part the students are friendly and inviting. I enjoy NHS and the only really annoying thing is their policy on being late. If you are late more than once a term without a real reason, you receive an hour and a half detention. Otherwise it's not as bad as it used to be. NHS has really stepped up their game.

The school is good and getting better all the time. I cannot believe how they are able to keep doing more with the little money they have. The teachers are extremely dedicated.

I'm currently a student here and really there's nothing good about this school. The building is old and falling apart. There is absolutely no money. Sports are bad. Don't go to NHS!

NHS offers little diversity and the students seem unaware of different cultures and tolerance of those cultures. We recently moved from a large city to Norton and have seen that the academics are lacking; it is not as proficient as other public schools. This may be that Norton has some financial problems... The Principal this year is excellent, understanding the students' problems and conflicts. Many children in the school seem very cliquish, but this could be from having lived in Norton their whole, or most of their, life. There are many drug and alcohol related instances, perhaps more than other schools, but not by too much. I would recommend sending your child to private school where he or she can benefit from better and a wider selection of extracurricular activities and electives.

Our daughter graduated in o5' and has just completed her AS in Education with Honors. She enters Bridgewater State College this Fall for her BS and MEd. We are impressed with the new Superintendent and staffing changes. A new principal and several new teacher have brought a proactive blend an advanced degreed, veteran staff. This fall, in addition to AP and Honor Society, students will have a dual enrollment option with Bristol CC, Bridgewater, and Wheaton and at a reduced rate! Award winning fine arts program and very active sports program keep kids engaged. Two of this year's grads were accepted to MIT. Safe school with above average parent involvement promote a positive, pleasant learning environment for all. While budget woes have become a national crisis for public education, Norton is one system that delivers the most for the money!

I was very impressed with the Norton High School when my oldest attended ('06 graduate)and look forward to my next child attending this fall. The new principal is fantastic. He was the vice-principal while my oldest attended and I was impressed then. The school is dealing with finacial issues which is making staffing a bit of a concern. I've been impressed with how the staff manages inspite of those issues. My oldest had great results there. He has an autism spectrum disorder and for the most part, the staff worked with his strengths. He's a freshman in college this year! They must have been doing something right.

Norton High School is a great school and is continuing to get even better. The new Principal is just what the school needed with his positive leadership approach and genuine interest in the students. The staff is dedicated and skilled, students are motivated and the environment/atmosphere is better than ever. The school is adding athletic programs and reaching out to the community to help increase its school pride. The Norton High School is quickly becoming one of the outstanding schools in the area.

I'm a 1984 graduate of NHS. I never had a problem with any of the teacher's or school policies. English, with my mentor, Mrs Smith opened a future with me. Although the school has aged, that doesn't reflect the abilites of how great a job the teacher's are doing.

I am not a parent, but a former student at Norton High. I graduated in 2001 and am now attending a small liberal arts college and doing very well there. NHS definitly prepared me for college very well, especially the English department. Unfortunately, many of the teachers who were employed at NHS while I was a student there have since retired, but I expect that future teachers there will continue the tradiation of quality instruction.
