We moved our daughter from a highly rated Union Free School District on Long Island to Norwell's Vinal School in 2006. I am quite comfortable endorsing the education and experience that she received at the Captain William G. Vinal School. It's true that many of the parents are involved. I think that parent involvement is a great thing and shows the student body that we are actively involved so they better be as well.
We have attended Vinal for a few years now and the school is great! The staff is motivated and happy and great with the children. The school environment is clean and fun with something always going on. Having come from another school system Norwell Schools are a pleasure all around!
Both my daughter and son have successfully gone through the Vinal School. The education and life skills that the environment and teachers have give them, I will be forever grateful! We are so fortunate to have such an educated staff, updated building and equipment, beautiful & safe surroundings. Both of my children have been well prepared for the next level of schooling thanks to a great start!
Having only private school education myself , my experience with the Norwell Schools has exceeded expectations. I have had 3 children in the 2nd through 5th grades at Vinal and have been very happy with the staff, quality of curriculum, and the opportunity as a parent to make a difference in my children's education.
Vinal has many wonderful teachers. While there are many opportunities to be involved as a parent, it can be difficult and competitive to actually participate as so many parents want these opportunities. Parent feedback is not actively solicited.
