The program makes the children want to go to school.
After having sent three children through this school, two on a IEP I feel that they could not possibly do more, they have been more than acomodating, and I have witnessed my children make great progress. This school offers top notch teachers, a safe enviroment, and actively involved parents. If I thought that the lunch monitors were not doing their job and felt concerned I would take it upon myself to volunteer as one, or certainly make my feelings known to the principle so that he would have the opportunity to correct the problem should there be one.
Overall quality good but getting special ed services for your child with a learning disability is a daunting task - programs that are readily available in other quincy public schools - one must fight long and hard to get here. There is loads of parent involvement in the school and most teachers are great - but there should be teachers or adnmintrators at lunch and recess with the kids as lunch mothers tend to ignore bullying and other non-inclusive behavior. OT and PT need more funding and school needs to be pro-active in helping kids who are struggling because of learning or physical disabilities - unless you get and independent evaluation - it is unlikely you will ever get and IEP from this school.
