I love the teachers at Glenwood and am overall happy with the administration. However, there is no program for kids that test above average. There are just no resources for them. The current administration does not believe in skipping grade levels, leaving parents to keep the children challenged.
The dumbing-down of academics at Glenwood gets worse every year. The teachers are good and have much experience, but their hands are effectively tied. The average and above-average pupils are indeed being 'left behind'.
This is a great school and my daughter loves it.
This school is wonderful!!! My children love it! The teachers really care about the kids. Beautiful art and music rooms. Smart boards in every classroom. This school is a little over a year old. I have two children there. Kindergarten and second grade. The parent involvement seems great. I'm not as involved as I would like to be but I know that my children are well cared for and nurtured in this wonderful environment. The staff is approachable and very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to send your child here.
