Shining stars is truly a special place to send your child. The staff is one of the most dependable and caring I have ever met, it's a nice feeling to bring your child to a daycare/preschool and know he or she is being cared for as you yourself would. The allegations for the phone use, as a parent I know first hand I have texted a teacher asking how my child's day is going to letting them know info that I feel is important, not too mention the fact that many of the staff also has their own family. So if I see a teacher with a phone in her pocket I'm willing to take a look at myself and the fact that if someone needed to reach me for a family emergency-my phone would be glued to my hand. And the snacks comment- i see the same snacks provided by the school that parents send in themselves. they urge parents to send in fresh fruit as well. Children that attended Shining Stars are a different breed, they're all such happy, well mannered, open minded, intelligent and all together just wonderful children. I could never say one bad thing about this school and I'm thankful there is a facility that I consider such a positive and loving part of my child's life, development, and education.

This a great school, my son loves it here! The teachers are very nice and loving and within one week I could see how much my son was learning. Highly recommend this school :)

Shining Stars is NOT a Montessori school. The school has no air conditioning. After two months I removed my son from this school for a myriad of reasons, a few; staff dresses inappropriately, uses cell phones during work, offers snacks yet only gives the same cheap stuff every week (Saltines & Rice Crispi s) and we had to request that they change my sons diaper more frequently after several rashes. Parents please do educate yourself on childcare, go to the MA education department site, and do not be afraid to the provider s questions.

I am very displeased with Shining Stars. My child was 'targeted' and bullied for weeks. The staff and owner did not notify us until my child was bitten on the face. There is a lack of communication and supervision. Then I was bullied by the biter's parent in the parking lot - which a facilitated by the owner. This place is unprofessional and I do NOT recommend it.

Our family has been at this school for 4 years, and have 3 children. The staff is very loving, treat all children as individuals and have a great respect for each other. i know when I leave my children they are going to be well cared for and taught many fun and exciting things. We love this school!!!

This is a bright spot among a very dark landscape in Education resources in Saugus. My son could not speak at 2 years old, He was frustrated and bottled up. Over the past 3 years my son has reached grade level with his peers and is doing very well. I would recommend this school to any parent.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
