This is a pretty good school, the school is somewhat overcrowded, but the building is old, the teachers are all well trained and informative

As a former student of SMS I had found it to be a good school. Under the leadership of the pricipal, the school flourished. I if I am an excellent student , with a grade average of A+. I found the extracurricular activites to be very good. However, budget cuts are what made me turn away from the school and in to a more private location, and the fact that the school housed at least 1000 students, much to many for me. When I was a student there in 5th grade, it was the last year 5th grade would have drama, music, art and Foreign Language. Fearing more budget cuts, I decidee to look away, and to a more , let's just say wealthy school.

The quality of after-school programs was pretty good. The sports activities were very good. The school offers music, art, gym, woodshop, metal shop and many other activities. The level of parent involvment was pretty good also.
