Oak Middle School

Surprised to see the negative reviews. I am very happy with both of my children's experience at Oak Middle School. My son is currently on 8 Blue and I can't say enough good things about his experience. All of his teachers have been great. They volunteer to come in early or stay after if he needs extra help. I can't speak for the rest of the class but we have an open line of communication at all times. 5 Stars to the teachers on 8 blue and thank you for all that you do for our children!!!! 5 stars for the principal leadership based on last year's experience, I have not met the current principal.

Really dissapointed with most of the staff at this school. There is no positive re-enfocement . To big of a school no one ever gets to know your child ,which makes it impossible for them to teach according to the students learning style. unfortunetly the few good teachers there arent getting credit because the bad out ways the good so needless to say I give 1 star for the few good teachers who care about really motivating the students to strive for more even though there may be struggles along the way . 0 stars for principal leadership because if there was leadership this would not be happening . 5 stars for parent involvement ,if your not invoved then your child will 100% slip through the cracks in this school .

this is an example that warehouseing doesn't work. 2 years oak, 2 years sherwood, no one knows your kid really. the longest time they spend is in high school;. there is also only one formula for special education, they don't individualize. I am disappointed with the schools as a whole is shrewsbury. they pass the test but that is all it is about.

Very week staff, no one is ready to take responsibility, and you barley learn anything.

Weak management that sets a negative role model for the students. Don't believe all the lip service. They are all talk and no action. I'm glad we are done with that school.
