I am a student at the OMS and let me tell you, the school is awful. Most of the kids are rude and kids often get bullied. I was bullied last year and was told by the guidance councilor that it was my own fault and I put myself in that situation. I was bullied again this September and told the assistant principal, nothing was done to the girl bullying me. Also, some teachers are very rude and just really awful teachers. Please, don't choose the O'Donnell Middle School.
I honestly am not satisfied with this school at all. My first reason is there isnt any minority amongst the teachers which i see as a big problem. Second, we recently had a new student attend this school and he/she was tormented so much by fellow students that the guardian of the student had to be notified on the SECOND day of their arrival. Third, field trips are scarce in this school due to lack of money and if there is a field trip, it is a breathtaking amount for the parents. There recently was an issue by the way, of shutting down two school buses due to financial problems the students were literally sitting on top of each other! DO NOT CHOOSE STOUGHTON FOR YOUR CHILD!!
Excellent school. Staff goes out of their way to help kids and parents. Easy to reach and to talk to. Office staff very helpful.
Great school. Staff and administration very accommodating. No complaints, easy to contact teachers by email.
there is bullying at the start of the school year and toward the end. There are small lockers and t's not fair to those kid because other kids get huge lockers. There is small food fights at certain tables. There are too many kids in a class and there is too little time to get between classes. there should be 8 minutes maximum time between classes.
The staff has gone out of their way to help my daughter be successful. Great place, many activities to take part in
too strict. kids have limited way of expression. lesson plans are too fast for slow kids which can slow down other kids.
I am a student attending oms. This year I am going to 7th grade.I used to live in boston. Now that I am attending the school I love it! Its fun to have lockers. I thought that I was going to be unabled to make friend, but I did. So dont be afraid to enter a new school... Dont be afraid to meet new friends. Just remember to be nice! Because the niceness will be returned! ~by a 7th grader
I am a student at the OMS and i am in 8th grade..........all of the teachers are nicue fun and funny....The teachers teach us but they teach us in a fun way like with experiments. Yes they theachers can be mean but only if you are mean to them ok!! The OMS is the best school ever!!!!
We have been living in Stoughton for over 20 years and have thoroughly enjoyed raising our 2 children in this very diversified and well grounded blue collar community. One child graduated Stoughton High with a class ranking within the top ten of the class, was a national honor society member and lettered in multiple varsity sports. My oldest has since gone off to a respected university and has maintained Deans List grades. My youngest child is preparing to graduate the O'Donnell Middle School and has also had 3 strong academic years. The reputation of the school system may be a little rough around the edges but if a parent and student are willing to put in the time and effort needed to succeed then postive results will be the reward. Harvard, Williams and Georgetown are just a few examples of our childrens success. 'Stoughton Pride'
