The school district is managed poorly by the superintendent and school committee. The budget expenses for the past decade should be analyzed and made public to all citizens in Sutton. Open your eyes, administrators, including the school committee are not making well informed decisions for all of our children based on principles of integrity and honesty. Demand fiscal accountability!

I'm not a big fan. It offers little, if any educational opportunities to my child. I'm very disappointed with the high school. It's ugly, the teachers are not dedicated, and the sports teams are overrated. My son will be transferring to a different local high school next year. Not happy one bit.

My child has attended Sutton Public Schools since kindergarten. She will graduate with the Class of 2009. The education she has received is exemplary. The student MCAS scores and SAT scores and GPAs are impressive! While the school lacks 'curb appeal' - the timeless dedication of the administration and staff are the heart and soul of Sutton High.

I am currently a freshman at sutton high school and i really enjoy everything at sutton. The teachers take the time to really get to know you and they joke around alot but you still learn alot. The building, yes it is in need of an overhaul, but it is still structuraly sound. Some minor complaints that the rooms are to hot or to cold or they may smell a little but you can get over that. The sports teams at sutton have always been great and will continue to be great, but the coaches are really serious so don't fool around. The soccer teams, basketball teams have usually made it to districts, maby even the state tournaments. Also the trackteams have been undefeated for the past 5 of so years. one last thing last class sizes are generally small so good student to teacher ratio. HOnors classesare very challenging.

I have 2 children in the system. One is a fifth grader and the other a freshman. I have been extremely happy with the Sutton School System. Since the last post in 2005, there have been many changes academically and sports wise. Other than the HS bldg needed an overhaul, I am happy to know that my kids are in a great system and the education they are receiving is top notch!! Also, we have Field Hockey back as of last fall and the team is great!

I have a child in the ninth grade at Sutton High. There is very little to offer. No computer classes, limited science labs, and limited free electives. The building in great need of repair and the school is over crowded. My childs education up to this point was great. Our children deserve to have more course choices in an envirorment where they can flourish.

Our experience to date has been with Early Learning & Middle Schools in Sutton. All of which has been very positive at the teacher level. At the Admininstration level changes are needed and coming, a renewed focus on priorities and new age learning techniques are required. Budget issues should help the System focus on what's important in the mission of preparing our children for the real world. For a 'sleepy' town 50 miles west of Boston we are satisfied with the School System. June 2005.
