Our Lady's Academy in Waltham is an excellent school. The principal, teachers, staff, and parents are the reason why the children succeed and advance in every aspect. The school is warm and inviting. The atmosphere is fun and the kids enjoy learning. I would recommend Our Lady's Academy to anyone.

We live in Waltham and have intensely researched (and debated) the best place and option for our two kids. We wanted a school that embodied a culture of transparency, moral and ethics, and a high bar of academic excellence. Our Lady's Academy is fantastic! The faculty and administration is open, transparent, and deeply involved in each child's growth and education. The parent community is also very involved. A wonderful community overall. Updated computer and science lab with SmartBoards in EVERY classroom.

We transferred our child from public school to Our Lady's Academy several years back,by far it was the best decision we made for our child's future. The teachers are committed and always available to the students, as well as our principal Mrs.Minor and our administrative assistant Mrs. Gotgart. If you are looking to better your son/daughters future ....look no further.

Great School!!! I am a parent of 3 current students all of which are happy and thriving. The Principal, Mrs. Minor, has done wonders for the school in regards to teacher training, equipment, and enrollment. The teachers are excellent and very dedicated to the students.

We transferred 2 of our children there from Arlington Public Schools. I has been great for our children. The academics and social envrioment are everygthing we would want. We are not catholic and have found that part of the enviroment to be a real plus for our kids. Would strongly recommend for anyone looking for a school that focuses on Academic development with a strong social ethic.

Great School - Pre-K-8. Spanish is taught in all grades. Close 'family like' atmosphere. On-site after school program. WeatherBug Meteorology Program. Up-to-date curriculum.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
