Im a student at Ware HS. I've gone to Ware schools all my life and the only complaint I have are the school lunches. Most of the lunches are good but some not so much. To the last person who posted about my school you are completely wrong. The teachers care about the students and you aren't just allowed to leave without permission. Bullying is strictly not allowed in my school. If a case of bullying is heard of administration gives punishment. Most of the students aren't disrespectful. There are those few students that are rude and have behavioral issues but every school has them. Sports are also good at WHS. Sports bring the whole school together and the community. To all the people giving the school bad reviews you don't know what it's like to be a student at WHS. Please don't give false information. Im proud to be a student at Ware High School.

This school is literally enough to drive somebody crazy. The rules are ridiculous and they favor njhs kids, giving them completely unfair and ridiculous advantages with dresscode, homework, and anything else they want. Besides the unfair rules and outrageous administration, the food is disgusting and the kids are mean. Bullying happens all the time and the administration hardly does anything. This school is so obnoxious that kids literally try their hardest to get suspended so the don't have to go to school, even walking out of school without permission to get that day off and another day suspension for walking out. I pray this school gets shut down.

My daughters transfered to this school and they so happy. They other students are extremely friendly and everyone is friends with everyone. The academics and rules are fair and challenging. This is a great high school!

We are transferring to western ma. due to a job so we went to evaluate this school. The guidance counseler asked "why are you here"? She couldn't give us a tour of the school. They offer no AP classes, due to budget cuts. She wouldn't print a course selection due to budget cuts. In the 10 minutes we were there, we were told of the budget cuts at least 5 times. As we were leaving, the secretary (who was very nice) gave us a tour. Students were disrespectful, cursing the secretary for asking where they were suppose to be. If I had to send my children to this school, I would quit my job and move. The energy was incredibly bad and they have nothing to offer. Tantasqua was the complete opposite and it helped us determine what towns we will be moving to. In my opinion, the guidance counselor should be eliminated, she will continue to poison the possiblity of this school to improve.

I found some of the teachers to be very nice but found the rest of the administration to be far less then satisfactory. I hope with the new laws coming into place that the system will improve for the future students. I removed my children but believe they will be scared emotional for life from their time there. I think they will be less likely to go to authoritative figures for help.

I agree that we are heading in a positive direction academically but I also agree that some teachers obviously hate their jobs and should move on to something they enjoy, if not for themselves, then for the students well-being. Some class grades have wonderful parental involvement and support while many others just can't be bothered. If more families supported the schools we would improve much faster and better.

I really think that the Ware School System is on track , and are really coming along in reversing previous Achademical Problems . With a mostly Young, Vibrant staff, they are much improved from years past ... Keep it up !!

I have three students currently in Ware Junior Senior High. 2 are honor students 1 just accepted to Umass Amherst. The Teachers have always encouraged my children to challenge themselves. The sports and other programs have been wonderful. Bravo Ms. Brindisi and Dr Beach and to all the dedicated teachers who care about the children of Ware. I beleive like anything, you get what you put into it!!

i am a former student of ware high and i have to say that it was an excellent place to learn and also grow as an indavidual. i have to say this because the teaching staff really cares what happens to the students that they teach. but there is some cases were this may not be true and this is because the student is a complete nucence to the class and distracts the class and ruins the lessons planed for the day. i have to say that most of the parents are to blame for this problem. most parents of the students that are failing can care less about there kid and go out and hang out like the have no responsibilities in the world. these are kind of things that make ware high what people talk about in a negative way. parents watch your stupid kids for god sake.

I go to Ware High School, and I have been to Ware schools my entire life. I can't say anything negative about other schools, but I can say positive things about Ware Schools. Some people posted on earlier dates that the teachers do not care about the students, do not know the subject matter, are disrepsectful towards students, etc. I don't think the people posting such nonsense have any idea what they are saying. Many of our teachers have taught here for a while, and some are new. They all care about the students, regardless if you feel that way. My mother is a teacher in this district, and I have known most of the teachers in the district for a long time. They all care, they all know the subject matter, and none of them show disrespect towards students. So before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean.

This school has everything a child needs to be successful. it is the parent's fault the child is failing or recieving phone calls from the administration about misbehavior. its a safe, close knit school with some very effective teachers. parents... think about what your kid is doing after school... that might be the key to a good education.

I agree with the others who have poted bulletin abou tmy school. I'm a current student and i would have to agree and yet disagree with some remarks. My school has many teachers who really do care about what happens to their students after high school is finished, and they do the best they can with preparing us for the real world. Then there are few teachers in our school who really dont care and i find that to be a problem. Some teachers i have seems as though they dont even know the subject matter of their class. I believe in our school we need to focus more on what us students need rather than who someone needs to impress to keep a job. Oerall i like my school, but i know and have gone to much better ran and academic schools. GET RID OF THE BLOCKS!!!!!!

I must say that I am very disturbed by what some people are saying. I went to school and had most of the teachers that teach at Ware High School. Every teacher that is there puts 110 % into every child. It is the parents and teachers responsiblity for each child to succeed in school. I had a ligitimate learning disability that the school system tried to help me with, but my parents did not think that I didn't need it. The teachers never showed favortism and I was not one of the top students, but everyone in the school helped me when I needed it or wanted it all I had to do was ask. If you have a problem with the school system write to your state officials because they give teachers more and more rules and less creativity when it comes to learning. I give the school and A+.

I would definetly have to agree with the May 2005 entry. Teachers in the Ware School System have very little regard for their students. Another problem, they seem to discriminate somewhat too. If your child comes from a well rounded loving family with parents that care, they seem to think it is the parents responsibility to make sure their child succeeds. If your child comes from a less fortunate circumstance then the school makes it their responsibility to make sure that child succeeds. Overlooking the other child who may have legtimate learning problem.

I am a teacher. I know fellow teachers from five Massachusetts school districts. We all have something in common: budget cuts and (sometimes) lack of community backing. From what I have witnessed, Ware High School is no different from any other high school--a motivated student with a support system will succeed.

Ware school system has very little regard for the children. The teachers as you approach the middle school then high school are very disrespectful towards the students. You find a few very caring teachers but on the whole it has such a low level of inspiration that it is difficult for even a well behaved child that desires to learn has a hard time in the classroom as the distractions from lack of discipline are very high.

I have a child in this school system and all I can say is how sorry I am I did not school choice him in the beginning of the year. The school curriculum is in disarray and going through drastic changes and the administration does not have a clue! I would recommend 'stay away'.
