Very challenging, rigorous academics. I graduated from WA in 2010 and felt it had prepared me excellently for college. WA has a GREAT selection of AP courses and the teachers (..well, most of them) are qualified to teach AP. The courses are challenging - I averaged about 5-6 hours of sleep my junior and senior years. The guidance department tries their best to help out, but I wish they were more helpful during the College App process. The music department is great, the theater department is EXCELLENT, as is the Speech/Debate team. WA recently won the NCLB Blue Ribbon - well deserved. Great school all around!
Diverse, Great Teachers, Great Opportunities
I couldn't have asked for a better high school. WA supplied me with excellent teachers who were always willing to help a student having difficulty and a wonderful guidance counselor who helped me to find the perfect college for my interests.
Student's who are average according to nationwide statistics are failing classes due to the standards of Westford Schools. WA has turned into a 'public' prep school for those who excel in academics. Our children are being 'left behind'.
We have the best teachers and they do the best with what we have. Everyone makes sure to keep the school in it's best possible condition - we could use a little help though!
My children attended this school, as well as my Hungarian exchange student. She graduated from here the year she attended
Poor parent relationships. Does not accomadate parents requests or resolve problems without great difficulty.
Excellent academics. Principal is great.
Academically a good school. For the size of the town, they offer a good variety of classes. Honors level courses are challenging, as they should be. Teachers are helpful, but could be more accessible. Parent involvement is good in the area of extracurricular activity. Concert orchestra is a great program. Other activities in sports, arts and clubs are well represented.
Previous student. This is an excellent high school. Plenty of activities are offerend after school and none are sup par. However, it can be difficult to break in to the social seane.
