For those worried that public schools are on the decline, HRHS is wonderful proof of the complete OPPOSITE. There are a lot of really bright, forward thinking, young teachers here. The amount of commitment and energy they put into there work on a daily basis is fantastic to see. There are a bunch of extra curricular clubs and sports and theater and music. Middle school / High school is a tough time for kids to find there right "place"...but a lot of it has to do with their level of involvement... it is what you make of it. Big thumbs up to everyone at HRHS -highly recommended...and guess what, your tax dollars are already paying for it so it's FREE :)
My daughter went from a private school to Hampshire last year. I can't say enough good things about the teachers she had on team Supernova. Especially for math. There was constant communication between her teacher(s) and myself. She got the same attention she received at private school.
Not a good choice if you have a child who needs extra help. A larger school system with more oversight on their staff benefits the students. A larger school system also has access to pros . Some good teachers there, but very few.
